Minister: MC-21 aircraft receives type certificate
MOSCOW, Dec 28 (PRIME) -- Russian passenger aircraft MC-21 has received a type certificate, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said on Tuesday.
"Aircraft MC-21 has received a base type certificate today," Manturov said.
A ministry official said that the base certificate envisages the use of imported materials and engine.
Manturov said that flights to extend the certificate would continue in 2022 and 2023. The changes in the certificate, envisaging the use of Russian composite wing and engine are scheduled for 2022.
